THE COVE ISLAND LIGHTKEEPERS
The Cove Island Lightkeepers is a volunteer, non-profit group formed by concerned and enthusiastic individuals for the protection of the historic Cove Island Lightstation. The Cove Island Lightkeepers operates under an agreement with the Canadian Department of Fisheries & Oceans, and in partnership with Parks Canada.

VISION STATEMENT

The Cove Island Lightkeepers safeguards the heritage resources which make the Cove Island Lightstation a significant and representative part of Canada’s Great Lakes Marine Heritage for the benefit, education and enjoyment, of present and future generations of Canadians.

Mission Statement

To ensure the heritage resources of the Cove Island Lightstation are protected, the Association is restoring and preserving the lightstation in a manner that reflects it’s significant and irreplaceable historical legacy, while promoting public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of this heritage through the development of visitor activities, facilities and educational services.
